The New ELDX – Deep Drilling Eye Lag Screw is designed to go into structural steel up to 1/4″ thick, NOT FOR USE IN SHEET METAL THINNER THAN 12 GAUGE (0.1094″).

The ELDX has a blue Ruspert® finish with an extra wide drill tip.

It can drill into 1/8″ steel in less than 5 seconds, and is the only screw of its kind on the market.

Installation and Usage

How do you install an I-Lag screw?

You drive it into the surface using a drill fitted with the proper I-Drill Driver. The driver grips the head of the screw and keeps it aligned so the eye doesn’t twist or damage during installation.

Do I need a special tool for these screws?

Yes. The I-Drill Driver and I-Drill Driver SM are designed specifically for I-Lag screws. They hold the head securely, reduce wobble, and speed up the installation. They fit standard drill chucks, not impact tools.

Can I install these from the ground?

Many I-Lag screws are designed to be used with a pole tool. This allows you to fasten ceiling wire or jack chain from floor level without climbing a ladder, improving both safety and speed.

Can these go into thick steel?
